Free Fridays at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden

Residents of Richland and Lexington counties will receive free admission to the Zoo and Garden every Friday during the months of January and February. Guests will be asked to provide a valid driver’s license, property tax statement or vehicle registration as proof of residency.

Time: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Noisemakers

Research shows exposure to music can positively affect early literacy development including phonemic awareness, listening skills, and attention span. Experience music first hand while exploring musical books and instruments, singing songs, playing musical games, and learning about different cultures and musical styles including jazz, classical, and folk.

Hands on Art

Simple art fun for the very young. Dress for a mess! Ages 3-5.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents Circus XTREME

Prepare to be astonished and amazed by artists who redefine the word extreme in everything they do, magnifying traditional elements of the circus and combining these elements with original, fast-paced performances and incredibly hilarious moments. Children Of All Ages can let their imaginations go wild in an exhilarating adventure with extreme thrills, exotic animals and extraordinary performers that add up to the ultimate family entertainment experience. Books & Beyond: Stranger Danger

FBI agents share information about community and personal safety. Activity kits are provided — create ID cards for your children. Books & Beyond is an after school program featuring storytelling, picture books, crafts and other hands-on activities. (grades K – 5)

Dinos: The Big Dig

This dino-mite exhibit features roaring robotic dinosaurs such as the Stegosaurus, Raptor and Triceratops. Dig for fossils in the Dino Dig Pit and pan for gemstones in the Treasure Creek! Little ones will enjoy pretend play in the Paleo Tent and Lil’ Explorers area filled with costumes, puppets, books and puzzles. Your ticket is free with museum admission. Children and Adults: $11.50; Seniors (62+): $10.50; Military (with ID): $10.50; Children under two: Free

EdVenture Youth Day

All middle school students will receive free museum admission with school ID. There will be a pep rally with bands, cheerleaders & mascots, a step team performance, giveaways, STEM challenges and more than 40 exhibitors educating workforce development, health, nutrition, technology, post high school readiness and more!

Michael’s Kids Club® Craftstick Snowman

    Come on out of the cold and Play All Day for only $5! Kid’s Jamboree Florence Civic Center Sat and Sun. Rides, Shows, Face Painting, Games, Food & Fun!
