We are excited to partner with Snip-its Haircuts for Kids to help out the families in our community affected by the recent floods.

Snip-its Haircuts for Kids was founded based on a need they saw in the community for a fun, safe, kid-friendly place for quality haircuts. Ever since opening their second store in the Midlands on Garner’s Ferry this past May, the families of Columbia have welcomed them with open arms. They want to return this embrace by offering their hair cutting and select services for FREE, in return for donations to the families most impacted by the tragic floods.

The Columbia SC Moms Blog has a similar passion for children and families in the Midlands, and is excited to partner with Snip-its on this amazing opportunity to help out our community during this desperate time of need.

How to Get Involved

Beginning Monday, October 12 through Wednesday, October 14, bring your child to the Garner’s Ferry location at the Shoppes at Woodhill between 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Children can enjoy services for FREE, in return for a donation that will go directly to families affected by the floods.

Where do the Donations Go?

We contacted community and education leaders to find out where our donations would be best served. We learned that the families in Richland School District 2 have been some of the most gravely impacted by the flooding. Therefore our donations will go to help them in their individual family needs.

Services Offered

  • Nails Painted
  • Boys Haircuts
  • Girls Haircuts with blow dry
  • First Haircut Package
  • Braid
  • Glam Up-Do
  • Glitter Tattoo
  • Glitter Hair Tinsel

Walk-ins Welcome

Snip-its learned that Mom and Dad know that the best time for your kiddo’s haircut, may vary day to day! So walk-ins are their way! No appointments are ever needed at Snip-its Haircuts for Kids.

  1. Are you sure it’s Richland Two that these proceeds are going to? I thought Richland One covers the area where Colombia experienced the worst impact.

    • Monetary donations are much appreciated. As you can imagine, there are many costs associated with repairs and rebuilding homes. If you are interested in donating items or towards workers helping clean up relief efforts, I’d be happy provide you with some great resources.

  2. What a wonderful thing for Snip-it’s to do! I wish I had seen this earlier, I would have come in. My daughter loves going to Snip-it’s! It’s so wonderful how everyone in Columbia is coming together to help on another!!! Great city we live in. Thank you, Snips-it’s for your help!! And to Mom blog for letting us know!!
