Diapers are so expensive. Yet, I never had to worry about whether or not my children would have them.
But do you want to hear an astonishing fact?
1 in 3 American families struggle to provide diapers.
Say WHAT?
Did you know that assistance does not come in the form of diapers?
Existing safety-net programs such as WIC and food stamps do not cover diapers. With the cost of diapers averaging $100 per month per child, many families struggle to afford the diapers their children need to stay healthy and comfortable. So, Mom4Moms decided to create the Baby Pantry. The goal of the Mom4Moms Baby Pantry is to assist parents in raising healthy children during times of need through early intervention, education, and material support.
What is Diaper Need?
Diaper need is the struggle to provide babies with an essential need – diapers. Some mothers face having to clean out and reuse soiled diapers or have to choose between diapers and other basic needs like food.
“Giving diapers creates butt loads of change,” as the organization Mom4Moms says. Mom4Moms, a local nonprofit in Columbia, was started by Moms that understood there was no magic “Easy” button for raising a child. For those who lack support or experiencing a financial hardship; taking care of the baby you love can be hard. M4M hopes to close the gap and provide items that are necessities in raising a healthy and happy baby.
Mom4Moms is here to help and close the gap. And they desperately need your help!
You can help with the Spread the Love event!
