Chemistry Magic Show With Robert Ellington

Explore the magic of science in this fun filled interactive show that combines the fascinating world of chemistry with the enchantment of magic.

City of Columbia’s Summer Movies Series

Bring the family out to catch a free movie with the City of Columbia every Friday night through the end of July. 

  • July 7 – “Sing” Kids Karaoke

Attendees can bring blankets, lawn chairs and coolers. No glass containers and alcoholic beverages allowed. For more information, please call the Parks and Recreation Department at 803-545-3100.

LEAP: Romp & Rhyme Babytime

Repticon Columbia is a reptile event featuring vendors offering reptile pets, supplies, feeders, cages, and merchandise as well as live animal seminars and frequent free raffles for coveted prizes. Exciting, educational, family-oriented fun for everyone! Adults – $10, Children (5-12) – $5, Under 5 – Free

Little Excavator Storytime

Little Red Riding Hood

Big Bad Wolf can’t get any respect. He’s the laughing stock of the forest. He can’t even get the Three Little Pigs to answer the door. Just when he’s at an all time low, a little girl in a red hood happens by and he sees an opportunity! Will Big Bad live up to his name? Or will Little Red be able to outsmart him and make it safely to her Grandma? With a variety of puppetry techniques and plenty of humor, Little Red Riding Hood is an irreverent take on the classic fairy tale.

Passport to Art: Molding Metal

This free drop-in studio program for families features thematic hands-on art projects and a family tour. This month we’re talking all about sculpture! Join us as we create our own 3D metallic masterpieces. At 1:00 p.m. we’ll take a trip through the galleries to see what sculptures we can spot.
