Kid’s Corn Maze

Bring the little ones for our amazing Corn Maze, just the right size for younger kids. Make it a new tradition and capture those memories! Pay $3 for each child to explore the maze and get a pumpkin at the end. Great spots throughout the maze for photo opportunities! Purchase tickets in our Fresh Produce Market. Tickets cannot be purchased online.

Family Hallowingding

Children Join the block party — use your imagination, curiosity and problem-solving skills to build different Lego creations. Hi, Hi, How Do You BOO! Halloween Party

Bring the kids in their costumes for the best Halloween party in the Village! Halloween games, adventures, puppets, trick-or-treating, specials and prizes. Open to members and non-member guests. Please make sure that costumes are safe for climbing equipment. Children will go barefoot and parents must wear socks. Register on our website: mygym.com/necolumbia or call us at 803-788-1230. Historic Columbia’s Trunk or Treat 2016

Put on your costume and join Historic Columbia as we bring the fun of Halloween to the Robert Mills House during Trunk or Treat! Children will enjoy trick-or-treating with a twist in a safe and fun environment. Community members and organizations will display decorated trunks filled with candy in the parking lot of the Robert Mills House. Awards and prizes for best costumes, best decorated trunk, and scarecrows will be given at 6:45 pm.

Mystery Lock-In

In this year’s corn maze discover highlights of American freedom, from the Declaration of Independence to the challenges of a new millennium. Explore our new design featuring the Liberty Bell. Our corn maze is educational AND fun! Also enjoy a hay ride, playground, pumpkin patch and lots of entertaining activities for the whole family!

Time: 6 – 11 p.m.

Location: Clinton Sease Farms, 382 Olde Farm Road, Lexington 29072


Boo at the Zoo

Guests will enjoy 10 wild nights of safe, affordable, family-friendly activities. Trick-or-treat throughout the Zoo, frolic in Frankenstein’s Foam Zone, rock the night away at Mummy’s Eeky Freaky Dance Party, plus much more. For an additional charge, guests can also roast marshmallows, take a spin on the Haunted Carousel or hop aboard the Spooky Spots and Stripes Railroad.

Cost: $9 Riverbanks members / $11 general public / children younger than 2 free. Tickets are limited and should be purchased in advance. If tickets remain on any night of the event, they will be sold for $13 at the gate.

Nevermore: Tales and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe

  • All day – Hands-on OZ themed crafts, games and more.

We Can Do It Storytime!

Join us for a storytime featuring food, farmers and community. In support of End Child Hunger SC, we will be collecting healthy meals and snacks to support backpack programs in Columbia. Helpful items include granola bars, soups, canned fruit, canned vegetables, canned meals like ravioli, etc.-small, complete meals that are child-friendly and can be opened without a can opener.

Legends of Ancient Greece

Join Pan, the Protector of the Forest, as he shares three of the most famous stories from Greek Mythology: Pandora’s Box, Orpheus in the Underworld, and Theseus versus the Minotaur. This epic production introduces dozens of mythological characters and stories. It features elaborate shadow puppets and some of our largest marionettes!

HOLYWEEN 2016 – A CARNIVAL DAY OUT

This incredible free event is open to the community and is a safe and fun alternative to the traditional Halloween activities. Cost of admission is $1 per child or a canned food to support our can food drive. There will be a friendly costume contest, food, carnival games, hayrides, bounces houses, train rides and much more.

Spooktacular Night at the CMA

Come have a ghoulishly good time at the sixth annual Spooktacular family fun event. As darkness falls, the museum transforms with ghosts, bats, pumpkins, art stations, sweet treats, and more! Make sure to wear your costume for our costume parade, embark on a spooky gallery tour, and partake in the ghoulish scavenger hunt for prizes. Also, the Columbia Marionette Theatre will perform The Tortoise and the Hare at 6:30 p.m.

Fall Festival

Mark your calendar for a great evening of family fun at the 2016 County Fair Fall Festival. Enjoy a ride on the carousel, slide down the giant fun slide, take a trip on the Choo-choo train and ride the bucking mechanical bull!

Musical entertainment will be provided by a fabulous Blue Grass band plus square dancing called by the county’s best square dance caller. Highlights for this year’s Festival include a costume parade, face painting, balloon art, games & plenty of delicious food featuring a chili tasting, homemade ice cream churn-off, homemade cake walk plus corn dogs, popcorn & more!

All rides, entertainment & games are free; food is available for purchase. Invite your friends & family to come for a great evening of fun!
