Best Spots in Columbia for a Mom’s Night Out | Columbia SC Moms BlogIt’s time ladies. It’s time for a night out. No babies, no hubbies. Just gal-pals and good times. Here are a few of my favorites in the Midlands:

Ladies Night at California Republic SUP

Every Thursday is Ladies Night at California Republic SUP; ladies can rent a stand-up paddleboard for 2 hours for just $10 from 6-8pm! Gather some gals, pack a picnic, and enjoy the peaceful glory of Lake Murray at sunset.

Drinks at Lula Drake and a Movie at the Nick

Get dressed up and settle in at Lula Drake with a fabulous glass of wine and some small plates and drink in the 1920s atmosphere. Then, stroll down Main for a movie at the Nickelodeon Theatre. Really want to gild the lily? Grab an artisan ice cream from Sweet Cream Company on the way; you can bring it with you into the theatre!

I love a good ladies night at Studio Cellar in the Vista. Take a class or paint freestyle while enjoying some adult beverages. You can even bring your own snacks and appetizers to share. If you have a large group, call ahead to make sure you get a table!

    A Low-End + High-End Dinner

Start your night on Main Street underground (literally) at The Whig for Taco Tuesday. Spend just pennies for your dinner and enjoy the dive-y, festive atmosphere with your girls. Then, make your way above ground and across the street to the Oak Table for dessert. (Grab a seat at the bar for the best view. Bonus: you won’t need a reservation.) In my humble opinion, the Oak Table crafts the finest desserts you can get anywhere in Columbia. Try the butterscotch bread pudding and thank me later.
