Columbia SC Moms Blog is rapidly growing, and we need YOUR help! We are currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the following commission based positions. Sales Coordinator

Time Commitment: 5-15 hours/week

Responsibilities

  • Manages and responds to all incoming advertising inquiries
  • Solicits new advertisers that would be pertinent to local moms
  • Helps develop advertising campaigns that meet the needs of the advertiser and brings in optimal profit (ie: strategic, timely image ads with corresponding sponsored posts)
  • Delegates and/or executes all details of any advertising campaign
  • Assists in selling sponsorship packages for events (however, the events coordinator will handle all of the main sales)
  • Assists in writing sponsored posts (when unable to assign)
  • Responds to all emails in a timely manner (24 hour turn-around)
  • Represents Columbia SC Moms Blog in a positive and professional manner at all times

Qualifications

  • Passionate about the Columbia area and our community
  • Ability to effectively handle the sales process from start to finish
  • Working knowledge of social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (written and verbal)
  • Understanding of integrated communications
  • Previous sales and advertising campaign experience (preferred)

Events Coordinator

Time Commitment: Varies depending on size, complexity and stage of planning for each event

Summary of Role

  • Along with owner, serve as point of contact for all Columbia SC Moms Blog events
  • Assist in securing the venue for Columbia SC Moms Blog events
  • With guidance from the owner, own and manage all aspects of sponsorship for Columbia SC Moms Blog events, including table sponsors, food and beverage, and swag and giveaways partners
  • Solicit table sponsors, food and beverage sponsors, and swag and giveaways partners for events via phone, email and social media, continually brainstorming and pursuing new partners
  • Manage all aspects of communication with table sponsors, food and beverage sponsors, and swag and giveaways partners, including reminder emails, setting deadlines for delivery and cultivating relationships through event updates and post-event follow up
  • Manage all aspects of communication with attendees
  • Within event blog posts (e.g. to announce Moms Night Out and to recap events past) and Facebook event pages, ensure accurate inclusion of all partners (as needed and/or promised to partnering brands)
  • Create social media promotions for sponsors leading up to and at events
  • Be available the week before the event to help with any final event preparations (item pickups, stuffing swag bags, etc.)
  • Be available the day of the event to help coordinate and facilitate the event
  • Brainstorm new ideas for Columbia SC Moms Blog events
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner (48 hours)
  • Represent Columbia SC Moms Blog in a positive and professional manner at all times

Qualifications

  • Passionate about the Columbia area and our community
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (written and verbal)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on commitment
  • Working knowledge of social media outlets (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram)
  • Sales experience strongly preferred
  • Previous event planning experience (preferred)
