Recipes Around the Clock: My Favorite “Go To” Kid Friendly Lunch

0

I am not going to lie. I don’t have normal children. There, I said it. They are not the kind of children you brag about. “Oh yes, my son ate 5 pounds of broccoli and 3 pieces of salmon yesterday.” Nope. When it comes to food, every day is a battle.

We’ve all heard the saying “pick your battles.” I have two children who are underweight and one that is just right, and they all love junk food. I do my best to ensure a fruit and/or vegetable is present at each meal and for snacks. But sometimes, I just need them to eat.

And then there are those times I’m in a hurry and just want something simple.

Enter my cheese pepperoni crescent roll ups.

  • cheese of any variety (shredded or not)
  • pepperoni (optional)

That’s it.

Serve with some fruit or veggie and voila! A quick and easy lunch your kids will gobble up!

And if you use turkey pepperoni, it’s a fairly healthy lunch.

Do you have a picky eater on your hands? What is your favorite (and easy) “go to” lunch?
