If you are a family on a budget, it’s hard to pack up the kids and go to the movies. For a family of four, it’s at least $40 to just get into the theater – and that is if you are able to get the kids by the snack stand without them having a complete meltdown. If you get sucked in by the smell of the buttery popcorn and the sound of a slurping slushie, your wallet takes a hit for at least $60. It’s a significant amount of money to shell out for two hours of entertainment.
But, family summer savings are here! Regal theaters have their $1 summer movie lineup and it’s bound to be entertaining for the kids, a guaranteed way to beat the heat and friendly to your budget. What more could you ask for?
Regal’s Summer Movie Express begins June 8 Regal Columbiana Grande and June 22 at Regal Sandhill IMAX & RPX. Each week both movies play on Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning at 10 a.m. and are rated either G or PG. Many summer camps go to the movies on these days so it is probably wise to get there early or buy your tickets ahead of time because seating is first-come, first-served.
The movie lineup is sure to tickle the funny bone of even the youngest movie-goers:
Regal Columbiana Grande
1250 Bower Parkway, Columbia / June 8 – August 11
Regal Sandhill IMAX & RPX
450 Town Center Place, Columbia / June 22 – August 11
So, mark those calendars and feel free to splurge on popcorn, milk duds, and a slushie because for $1 you can’t miss these movies!
