AiR Presents: Animal Shapes with Maria

Enjoy Spring Break with our Artist in Residence Maria Fabrizio! Using bold and playful shapes, children will create unique animals and creatures while learning the fundamental elements and principles of design.

Scratch Coding

Create interesting toys, instruments, and games out of household objects using Scratch and micro:bit coding. Age Group(s): 9-12, 13 – 18

Tween Extreme: Lego Club

Join the block party — use your imagination, curiosity and problem-solving skills to build different Lego creations. Window Birdhouse

Encourage a love for nature and ornithology in our hands-on workshop where you and your child can build a window birdhouse. Your young birdwatcher can observe birds’ behaviors like building a nest and watching eggs hatch without the need for expensive equipment. Once your birdhouse is built, your child can decorate it with paint and stickers. All Kids Workshop attendees must be accompanied by a parent or adult at all times. All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron, and pin.

LEAP: Romp & Rhyme Babytime

Literacy, Enrichment and Play (LEAP) is an interactive program for babies and their caregivers that uses books, rhymes, games, fingerplays and songs to encourage literacy through learning. For more information, call 785-2630. (ages birth – 18 months)

Sensory Friendly Storytime

A storytime for children of all abilities, ages 2-10, along with their families. This event is especially great for kids who need more hands-on interaction and visual support! Feel free to bring your favorite teddy bear or other stuffed friend to enjoy storytime with you!

Kids Club®

Hansel and Gretel: The Case of the Deep Dark Woods: An Opera

Local opera company FBN Productions presents a new twist on an old tale.

Columbia Children’’s Theatre presents “Stone Soup”

In a grey town made entirely of stones, where everyone is afraid of everything, a stranger arrives with nothing to fear. Will he inspire the citizens to take back their city and tear down their walls? Will his new-found friend find the courage to use her power to bring the magical city back to life? Just what is the recipe for “Stone Soup,” anyhow?

“Stone Soup” is an imaginative, high-energy, and comedic re-telling of the traditional folk story using musical styles from Rock / Pop to Folk and World. Full of memorable songs and characters and designed to entertain audiences of all ages the story digs into what it means to conquer your fears, and how powerful we can be when we work together. Presented by Columbia Children’s Theatre.

The Giving Tree Storytime

Join us for Storytime and activities featuring beloved children’s author Shel Silverstein’s timeless classic The Giving Tree.

Jack and the Giants

Giants are supposed to be big, mean, and nasty. They eat anyone who crosses their path. But Flinch isn’t like other giants. He’s constantly picked on by his bigger brothers for being sweet, caring, and… a vegetarian! When he sneaks away from his home in the mountaintops to the valley below, he befriends a poor young boy named Jack. Soon he’s found a new home, but his bigger brothers won’t let him go that easily.

CMT’s production is a twist on the classic story of Jack and the Beanstalk. Featuring some of our largest puppets, this show is also big on heart!

Spring Farm Fest at Doko Farm

Join Doko Farm for a celebration of Spring! This community event will feature local farms, crafts, delicious food, and a community seed swap. Visitors will have an opportunity to learn about heritage breeds of livestock and edible forest gardens. Farm products will be available along with seedlings, and crafts. Families are especially encouraged to come for the games and a chance for children to meet friendly goats, lambs, and chicks. $5.
